Cancellations and Missed Appointments
When you book an appointment with me that time is reserved for you and you alone. Last minute cancelations or missed appointments do not just effect the therapist, but other patients that are in need. If you are needing to cancel your appointment time, I ask that you try to give 12 hours notice so that the appointment slot can be filled. You may cancel or reschedule your appointment via your online account, e-mail, phone, or text. Frequent last minute cancellations or no show appointments can result in either being required to pay for the missed appointment time or refusal of future service.
With that said, life happens and that is completely normal! Sudden illnesses pop up and I would rather you or your little one get the rest that you need than bring it into the office. If anyone in your household is experiencing flu-like symptoms, please stay home and ensure all symptoms are gone for 48 hours before rebooking.
In the event that I need to cancel or reschedule your appointment time, I promise to give as much notice as possible, and to reschedule your appointment within the fastest time upon my return to work.
Right to Refuse Service
At anytime before, during, and after your appointment, either you or myself have the right to refuse treatment. Massage Therapists will typically do this if you are too acute in your injury to be treated with massage therapy; the injury is beyond their scope of practice; frequent no shows or last minute cancellation of appointment times; or the therapist feels physically, mentally, or sexually unsafe. Abuse or misconduct of any kind will not be tolerated at this facility.
In the event that you are either too acute or beyond the scope of practice, I always have referrals on hand to meet your needs or help you in any way that I might not be able to. Referrals will be available if it is due to scheduling grievances if requested. In the event of abuse or misconduct, no referrals will be given. If the situation is warranted, a report will be filed with Regina Police Services.
If you suspect abuse or misconduct with myself, or any massage therapist… I am licensed with National Holistic Practitioners of Canada (pending fall transfer from MTAS) and they will be happy to assist you will any disciplinary measures or issues with misconduct in Canada (MTAS just Saskatchewan).
